Many, many years ago I was exposed to the work of poet Pedro Xisto. His genre is concrete poetry, which can sometimes rise to a marriage between art and poetry. As in this piece of his, titled Ephitalamiun. It's my favorite piece by him, and I have always remembered it from when I first encountered back in college. I just found it while trawling for him on the web the other day. Hope you enjoy!
PS: Make sure to click and enlarge the 'key' on the bottom of the image is critical to interpreting the work...as is the meaning of the title.
I'm into lifting weights, running, and biking. In general, I'm a hit-and-run athlete. I've done hapkido, snorkling, deep sea fishing, karate, rockwall climbing, horseback riding, parasailing, hiking, etc. I will try anything active!
I'm also a migrant creative and have expressed myself through painting (done shows and sold stuff!), drawing, novel writing, poetry (published!), songwriting, playing piano, and guitar.
And, yes, I am a Zen Buddhist.
